"This was a great conclusion to the trilogy although it probably wouldn't have worked as a stand alone book. The heroine is first seen in a cage suspended over the castle walls and manages to escape; if that is your sort of feisty adventurous protagonist, this story is for you. The hero is also likeable and well drawn, with a personality and some secrets of his own and the eventual conclusion is well thought out and ties up the loose ends. Great read."

- Pretty sure I've read them all now. I did try to read them in order. I like her (their) work. There's a plot, of course they fall in love. I mean it is romance after all. The phrases seem accurate and authentic for the time period. It is best to read them in order. I love the lineage of the families they bring into their work. There's some sex, not much. If I remember correctly they could be easily skipped if that is offensive to the reader. Most of their writing focuses on things other than sex. I like the way they paint the attire of the people so the characters feel real. They aren't always in their finest clothing and the use of their descriptives helps to set an image of simple dress when that would be normal. I think their books all focus on the interpersonal relationships within the family and sometimes the breakdowns within the families. I suggest reading all of the May McGoldrick books!
- Loved all of the characters from Adrienne to Gilly to Nick!a to Sir Henry. I would enjoy taking a look into the life of Gilly as he grows into a handsome sea captain proficient with swords (and lasses) of all kind, whether they be Scottish made or English. I'd like to see Adrienne fight side by side with her husband as they have set sail in search of a lone galleon, believed to be abandoned by the Danes. Alas...twas a ploy to capture the Blade and his crew for a hefty bounty of gold! As you can see, I really enjoyed these characters and would love to visit with them some more. A great read, with wonderful descriptive writing.
- Good , but still not as good as the first book - The Dreamer.
Wyntoun and Adrianne are good leads - but they are a bit annoying.
At the end of The Enchantress we learn some of Wyntoun's secrets. And I wasn't sure if he was a hero or a villain. I still wasn't sure at the beginning of this book.
Adrianne was my least favorite type of heroine. Headstrong, impulsive and somewhat self centered. I will give credit where credit is due - she does change throughout the book - but not enough for me to love her.
I think the book was well written and flowed nicely - but then wrapped up way too quickly. Also as the end of a trilogy an epilogue would have been nice.
I did enjoy this book - but I think it could have been better. - Another great novel where in this trilogy, everything comes to a conclusion. Suspense leeks in the air as you try to figure out who is good and who is evil in their desire to obtain the Treasure of Tiberius. Wyntoun wrestles with a love he's never known and Adrianne suffers to come to terms with that same overwhelming love. Love how her mother, Nichola, finds something new for herself too. And you truly are hanging until the last chapter to see who is truly good and who is very evil. Highly recommend.
- I enjoyed the third book in this trilogy as much as the first and second book. Really loved the intrigue as well as the surprises of new loves.
- Loved our fiery heroine Adrienne and the formidable, moral pirate Wyntoun who falls for her despite everything. Their tumultuous relationship is intertwined with their competing efforts to rescue/ protect her mother Nickola and the treasure of Tiberius, which Nickola used to protect her daughters.

- Loved the other books in this series but I just could not like the heroine in this one. Will romance authors please find a way to write a confident woman without making her look like an idiot. It seems these headstrong women always have to prove how independent they are by doing stupid things that endanger everyone around them while arguing that it is their right as a free thinking woman! Really? I would love to read one of these novels where the heroine defines her independence by demonstrating that she is a thoughtful and capable human being. Also, I don't think feisty is the same thing as being just plain thoughtless and self centered with no remorse (or a passing thought like "gee, I guess I shouldn't have done that"). Please, someone, write a book with an intelligent heroine who does not derive her confidence by being constantly headstrong and downright idiotic. Finally, I know a lot of women who are sweet and personable and it does not preclude them from being strong and independent. It is insulting that time after time these heroines are depicted as angry and obnoxious women as if that was the only way a woman demonstrate strength.
